I was so happy that my business certificate arrived yesterday! I "launched" (a big word for a small action) my Facebook business page. I have been having a really hard time connecting to Etsy to get a page in gear there. Occasionally Etsy is difficult so my husband updated all of my plug-ins on this computer and my virus protection, etc. to try to fix the problem. I hope it is not because of my security because I will not change what is in place. I have been zonked by a virus before and do not want another! Our computer easily accesses other sites so hopefully it is not a security/cookie issue. I am looking forward to offering beading class parties soon. It feels like all is well. Beautiful day today, going to enjoy it with my Grand Daughter. Be Well! Happy Beading!

Last Thursday I traveled up to Saugerties to my friend Avigayil's house with our friend Wendy for a creative beading day. I began the beadweaving on the right for the Chalcedony necklace and I completed it on Friday. Many hours were involved in this piece, it was fun. Back to Avigayil's, we all had a great time! We made a pot luck salad lunch, all of our contributions were delicious. Then, sharing our projects and getting down to our beading, it was great! Having a beading circle of friends is the best. Wendy is working on a Muse. Her piece is really gorgeous, very intricate beading. My hours involved in my Chalcedony piece do not compare to what Wendy is investing in her Muse. I am looking forward to it being finished, and I am sure Wendy will allow me to share here. The picture in the upper left, this is a joke compared to what Wendy is doing but I like it because it was born out of frustration. I was trying to make a bracelet in peyote stitch which involved following a visua

Bead Mags

Yesterday I was in a lousy mood. So, I went to the book store to pick up a magazine I had seen advertised. I left with a different one than intended (the other one can wait!). Beadwork presents, Favorite Bead Stitches. It is full of wonderful projects, I do not know where to start! http://www.interweavestore.com/Beading-Jewelry/Magazines/Beadwork-Presents-Favorite-Stitches.html

A New Path

After 3 weeks sans Bead*Spring in my life, finally I am getting my head together to move on and in to my own thing. Maybe all of the wind last week helped to clean out these cobwebs from the store clogging my creative center. Today I go to acquire my DBA at the County Clerk, and get on board with NYS as far as sales tax, etc. My inner tree is growing, branching out, roots starting to hold.
